Very sorry to hear of Les's passing.
I've known Les for many years, mostly in our younger days, brought about through our love of motorbikes, the highlight of which was him building a brand new replica chopper (the same as the one as in the film Easy Rider - see photo) in hid Dad's shed, and using the paintwork skills that he learned at Biddles factory that used to be in Nuneaton town centre.
But I will always remember Les for his sense of humour. He was always joking, which I suppose is why he had the friends that he did - he was good company and will be sadly missed.
With condolences to Kath and his family.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
